The Internet Is Responding After 26-Year-Old Man Admits His Mom Still Buys His Advent Calendars

One of the things that marks Christmas for many families is the Advent calendar. It’s a part of the season, and Advent calendars tend to be a favorite gift that parents give to their children.

As children start to grow up, many parents try to hold on to their youth as much as they possibly can. That was seen recently when someone posted on Reddit, saying how the tradition of Advent calendar giving in their family was still alive and doing well.

The person wrote: “My mum’s given me an advent calendar. I’m a 26 year old man. Is this normal? It’s quite sweet but it seems a few years off.”

Some people don’t still get to enjoy receiving an Advent calendar from their parents but there were many people who answered in reply to the question and their answers were surprisingly similar.

In the end, many people felt that it was a very sweet thing to do and it doesn’t matter how old you are, it is still a good idea to count down every day until Christmas using one of these Advent calendars.

One of the commenters said: “I mean, I’m 25 and whenever my mum asks me if I want an advent calendar my answer is always a resounding yes. I simply love chocolate & Christmas so why not.”

Another added: “Can confirm, my mother and my wife’s mother does this for me. Every year. I’m 44. I gave up telling them not to bother as it goes in one ear and out the other.”

A woman said: “I am a 30 year old woman that lives 450 miles away from my mum and I still get an advent calendar posted to me.”

In other words, if you are a parent and are considering getting an advent calendar for your child, despite them being older, why not go ahead and do it? You might just find that it is going to be the perfect Christmas gift after all.
