There are things that we probably see every day we don’t often give much thought to. These include the signs that guide us in the direction that we should go, especially those that are outside of fast food restaurants.
Pulling into a fast food drive-through is something that many of us do on a daily basis. It’s nice to be able to order a burger and some fries from your car and have them ready for you when you drive up to the window.
Although there are many different fast-food restaurants out there, Wendy’s continues to be one of the favorites. More than likely, you would recognize the logo, even if it didn’t have the familiar name written below it.
The smiling redheaded girl with freckles and pigtails is a very familiar thing for us to see. What you may not know is that Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s named the restaurant after his daughter. He also wanted to include another family member, but he hid her in the logo.
This is where you have to look closely at the sign in order to see what it says. Look at her collar and in it, you will see that it actually says ‘Mom’.
Wendy’s is not the only restaurant to hide something in the logo. Take a look at the Subway logo, and you will see that it has two arrows pointing in different directions.
This is more than just an interesting way to make the word, it’s also a shout-out to the actual subway and the entrance and exit. It’s a very clever design.
One more sign that we would like to point out is Toblerone. This candy company, which was originally in Bern, Switzerland has delighted people for many years.
The city where the chocolate was made is known for its bears, which is why you should look at the mountain very carefully. It’s not just a picture of the Matterhorn, there is actually a famous bear hiding in it!
These are fun facts about the logos that we see every day. Who knows what else is hiding out there?
