Handyman Reveals The Reason Why We Get Those Difficult Toilet Stains And The Easy Way To Remove Them

We all have a desire to keep our homes clean but sometimes, it can be difficult to clean stains that appear seemingly out of nowhere. Some of those stains appear in the toilet, and they can be frustratingly difficult to remove.

If you have a problem with stains in the toilet, then you may just want to take a page out of the Papa Joe Knows YouTube channel. That YouTube channel is dedicated to helping people with practical home solutions, and Papa Joe has helped us with the situation.

Those persistent marks may be called many different things, but it often is just a matter of mold. The design of the toilet makes it possible for the mold to just continue to show up.

This occurs because after you flush the toilet, an internal cavity is flooded with water and it goes around the inside of the toilet room. There are tiny jets in the area where the water exits.

The problem is, the mold lives inside of the cavity so when you flush the toilet, you essentially are pushing the mold out under the rim where it can grow.

It sounds like an impossible problem, but there is actually an easy way to fix it. It requires lifting the lid off of the tank of the toilet, but from there it gets much easier.

When you look inside of the tank, you will likely see a cylinder with a tiny water hose that fills with water after you flush it. All you have to do is to pour some distilled vinegar into the cylinder.

Vinegar is a natural mold killer and it is very cheap. More than likely, you already have it in your kitchen cabinet so there’s no need to go out and buy something expensive for this simple fix.

Pour it into the cylinder and it will circulate through the internal cavity to clean the mold from the interior area. As it does so, the mold is neutralized and after it sits for about an hour, it begins to break down naturally.

You may have to give a quick scrub to the interior part of the toilet where you can see the mold, but more than likely it will not return again. Just make sure that you periodically add vinegar to the cylinder in the tank and this problem should be gone.
