China just banned OnlyFans, calling it a corrupt Western disease. The government said it was part of an effort to clean up the digital space.
They’ve labeled the site as having immoral online influences. OnlyFans is mostly known for adult content and has been available in China through VPNs and third-party payments.

That loophole is now gone. The ban blocks access for both users and creators completely. This isn’t the first time China cracked down on Western apps. Instagram, Reddit, certain video games, and movies have also been blocked.
There was a short window where people could get on OnlyFans without a VPN. Some users said they got full access again last year and posted about it on social media.

It seemed like things were loosening up, but that didn’t last. The new ban shuts the door again.
I completely support China’s decision to ban OnlyFans.
I would recommend that all countries do the same, because it’s very rare for OnlyFans to be used in a positive or appropriate way. https://t.co/zIy9VvtVBc
