Moving into a new home can be very exciting but it can also leave you with a few questions. This is especially true when you see something that you can’t quite figure out.
When somebody moved into a home that was built in 1916, they saw something unusual in the sewing room. There are eight bedrooms in the house and at one point, it was beautifully decorated and used as a family home.
When you walk into the room that used to be the sewing room, however, there is something around the baseboard that looks out of place. It’s a door, but there is no way that you would be able to fit through it.
The small door was obvious but nobody understood why it was there or what it was used for. It didn’t seem like much of a decoration, but it was still interesting and caught their attention.
They looked in the other room on the other side of the wall and tried to find where the door would open up. They weren’t able to find anything, and the backside of the door just seemed to be painted over.
The door was tightly shut and it almost seemed as if it was locked. It was just a door that was very small and they thought that it was bizarre.
When posting this online, they found a lot of answers that made sense. Some people said that it was common for little doors to be installed to hide gas valves and other shut-off systems. It gave easy access without having something ugly in place.
For now, they still don’t know what the doors are but one thing is certain, they will continue looking.
