Look At Suzanne Somers’ 2 Grandchildren To Her Only Son Today

It’s hard to believe that it has been more than a year since Suzanne Somers passed away. She still continues to be remembered for all that she did, and we often see her family posting on social media.

When you look back at the life of Suzanne Somers, you can’t help but remember all of the good that she did. She became exceptionally famous in the sitcom, Threes Company but even after that, she continued to be well known as an advocate and for the thigh master.

Something that many people don’t know about Suzanne Somers is that she had six grandchildren. Two of her grandchildren, Camellia and Violet Somers were very close to her and they have followed her footsteps in many ways. One of them even looks a lot like her.

Suzanne passed away in October 2023 just before she turned 77. She was ‘surrounded by her loving husband Alan Hamel, her son Bruce, and her immediate family,’ according to a statement prepared on her behalf.

She had been fighting with breast cancer for more than 23 years and as the family got together to celebrate her birthday, they ended up honoring her legacy in life.

Suzanne’s only child, Bruce, was born in November 1965. He decided to stay behind the camera as a writer and director. Included among the different projects he is known for is one for his mother, ‘Somersize Part 1, Suzanne Somers: Eat Great, Lose Weight.’

Bruce paid tribute on Mother’s Day to his mother in 2019, saying: “My mother loves and supports me like no other […]. I couldn’t ask for a better mother. I love you this Mother’s Day and every day!”

After Bruce got married to his wife, Caroline in 1991, they went on to have two children. Suzanne was very happy to be a grandmother and in a 2017 interview, she said that she loved having grandchildren. This includes those from her husband’s two children.

She said that it was a joy ‘falling in love all over again’ with all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking with the family and that brought her a lot of happiness.

One of her daughters, Camelia Somers was talented from a young age. She made her acting debut in 2015 on the daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful. She was able to establish her role as an actress and followed in her grandmother’s footsteps.

In addition to acting, she also loved musical theater and competed on a dance team for a number of years. She was an academic, attending Harvard Westlake School, and was on the school dance team as well as a cheerleader.

Many people couldn’t help but notice how much Camelia looked like her famous grandmother. One person said: “She looks so much like your mom. Beautiful!”

After Suzanne Summers died, she posted a tribute on Instagram saying: “I love you forever Zannie, my different kind of grandma ❤️.”

Another one of her granddaughters is Violet Summers and she has also been creative throughout her life. She went into acting, appearing in the film ‘Paint Me in the Opera House’ in 2017.

Her father paid tribute to her on Instagram on her 25th birthday, writing: “This soul turned 25 today. That’s 25 years of spreading light and love touching everyone she encounters. […] Happy birthday, Violet. I love you so much. Thanks again for choosing me as your Dad on earth. Love you always.”

Both Violet and her sister talked about her grandmother’s final days. Violet said: “The day that I went to visit after she had passed, I walked out of the house and there was just this museum-level black and yellow butterfly.”

Camellia added: “”If you were good at something, in her mind, you were the best. […] I grew up doing musical theater. We were all showing her a video of Lady Gaga and she looked at me and she said, ‘You’re better’ […].”

Losing Suzanne Somers was a terrible tragedy. We’re glad that her granddaughters are able to keep her memory going.
